Room for improvement on both sides of the ball
by Patrick Beane

BLOOMINGTON, IN -- A foggy Dunn Meadow hosted two fresh
-faced football teams this afternoon. Blue Velvet, comprised of
Patrick Beane, Andrew Cambron, and Jay Warrick, took on the
underrated Red Dragons, of Andrew Lockdall, Drew Versweyveld
and Drew Wehrle.
After winning the opening coin toss (Spaces, not Laces), Blue
Velvet made a modest return around midfield. Following some of
quarterback Beane's only successful play-calling of the game, the
first touchdown of the game was caught by Warrick in the back of
the endzone.
The Red Dragons answered quickly with a score of their own, a
pass from Lockdall to .....

Thesis
What do you think? Played football with some bros, had a fun breakfast with said bros and my number one girl (ILUVRJ), ate Bub's with my Real Bro and Dad. Not too much homework going on tonight, so maybe some movie-watching is also going to go down. Much needed break from stress.

RUNAWAY
Can you believe it? Kanye's new film, Runaway, is a real piece of Art. It's actually really, truly terrible - but in a way that begs you to love it. I think he's earned our affection. Pic tells a classic story - Man finds Phoenix, Man loves Phoenix, Man loses Phoenix.

Key lines of dialogue:
> "Your girlfriend is really beautiful... Do you know she's a bird?"
> "I'll never let you burn!"

At any rate, the music is top-notch, and my anticipation for Dark Twisted Fantasy is growing with every passing moment. I think I forgot to mention Nicki's opening narration, which is appropriately insane. The whole work is a complete mess, but its (big, loud, ugly) heart is on its (unbelievably fashionable) sleeve. For that, Kanye, you earn an A+ from this blog critic. #kanyeshrug

Conclusions
The reason I haven't posted in quite some time can be summed up in a single word: midterms. It's not a good excuse (actually, it is), and I promise to find more time for nonsense in the future. Maybe I'll post some Art or Writing onto this thing. METASWAG. That was Meta.

There are other things to be done:
> Get conditioner (Don't use Selsun Blue without the Conditioner)
> Write a paper
> Read a book
> Schedule an advising appointment with the English Department
> Watch a movie
> Choose my classes for next semester
> Have a toast for the douche bags

Wish me luck!

;)

> The Winky Frowny is now a Winky Smiley, because I don't want to look sad all the time. Really, I'm quite happy.

Thesis
Well, today has been fairly busy.
> Mass
> Catechist at Confirmation program
> Watch football at home
> Determine living arrangements with Andrew
> Try to study
> Fail to study

Freakout
It's what I'm going to do. For the next hour, at least. I still need to eat dinner. I have a midterm tomorrow - in a class I have attended irregularly at best. Studying must be done. But it probably won't help. Feeling helpless.

Feeling
Good, though. Because I'm alive and well. Friends, family, love, music, and whatnot. Lots of fun all weekend.

Conclusions
CANT WAIT 4 TOOSDAY

"Lucky 1"

Thesis
What have I done? No blogging unless there is time for blogging. New Rule: NO BLOGGING UNLESS THERE IS TIME FOR BLOGGING. There is not, but I am.

Lucky 1
Avey Tare is releasing a record on the 26th of this month. "Lucky 1" - a single from the record that was released today - is remarkable. Well, it's remarkable in that it sounds exactly like how it should. The nonsense review I linked to (how can one evaluate something released hours ago?) was wrong: this is exactly what Avey Tare would/should/obviously does sound like. I have listened to the song a dozen times now. It doesn't wear itself thin. I'll let that fact speak for itself (or for me, I suppose).

I suppose
That I should definitely be writing a paper right now. Or showering.

I propose
That any efforts made toward accomplishing either of said tasks be recorded as evidence in my consideration for sainthood. Or maybe I'll just tweet about how miserably busy I am. Exactly busy enough to resort to blogging.

Conclusions
> Music is good
> I'm busy
> Procrastination is not good
> Where are my sandals?

;(
