From The Jundland Wastes

Thesis
Being with friends is better than writing a final paper. A "Dead Week" gathering at Cambron's apartment. Of course, Cambron isn't here. That hasn't stopped us!

Rachel and Fran are playing EA's video game adaptation of Peter Jackson's film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkein's The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. Allison is sitting across from me at the "Homework Table" (in quotes because it was deemed thus, and because no homework is actually being done). She's watching the preview for Yeezy's "Monster" video. It looks so established. Will is sort of wandering around aimlessly, eating various snack foods, and retreating to Cambron's room to "do homework." He's probably actually doing homework.

Zany Things Allison Has Said Tonight
> "Your blog is stupid... Boom."
> "You left the cheese on the table? Were you raised in a barn? ... Table cheese... C'mon. Have some standards."
> "Ew, Patrick is trying to hang out with me."
> "Boom!"

Sad Things Fran Has Said Tonight
> "Wish I was there..."
> "Wish my mouse was like that..."
> "Wish I had somebody to call me babe..."

Affirmative Things Rachel Has Said Tonight
> "Ha!"
> "Good job!"
> "No, that's fine."
> "Here you go!"

In-Game Dialogue Aragorn, Gimli, And Legolas Have Said Tonight
> "Beware! These spirits bring the bones of the dead back to life!"
> "More specters!"
> "I have... a very bad feeling about this place!"

Cool Things About Today
Even though I had to wake up at 6 AM to write a paper, there have been some really wonderful things to keep me going. A fun lunchtime discussion about Top Fives inspired an upcoming blog post and provided lots of laughs. Best friend tweets throughout the day brought a smile to my face. Michael Schrimper jazzed the cuss out of my second class. Andy Grinstead puts a bounce in my step despite the awfulness of Spanish. Andrew Lockdall kept me company for a lovely and babealicious hour. A half an hour on the phone with Becky Boyle woke me up and got me giggling. Nicki Minaj contrasted with LOTR:ROTK is bringing the lulz. Rachel Jordan just makes me feel tip-top I don't care wuts goin on.

Didn't mean for this to turn into a shout-out section - but shoot, fam, y'all keep me going.

#HAPPYBIRTHDAY @NICKIMINAJ

Conclusions
So it's been a really challenging and busy (Un)Dead Week. So what! So it's been filled with friends and plenty of procrastination. Raaaandy. So it's been fun! So what! So close! So break mentality!

:)
